CT Business Owner Accused Of Failing To Refund Payment

The owner of a Connecticut pool company has been arrested for allegedly failing to refund money for a home improvement within 10 days.

Windham County resident Brian Roy, age 40, the owner of Roy's Pools of Canterbury, was arrested on Monday, Jan. 24 after turning himself in to state police on a warrant.

According to the Connecticut State Police, Roy was charged with failure to refund payment for a home improvement within 10 days of a written request following an investigation conducted by the state Department of Consumer Protection

Roy was processed without incident, held on a court issued $10,000.00 bond, and transported to the Danielson Superior Court for a same-day arraignment.

Additional charges against Roy are anticipated, state police said.
